opening at the Redtree Gallery

See my latest tribute to our garden, MarchAprilMay, at the Redtree Gallery in Oakley tomorrow night. The show opens tomorrow and will run through the month of April. The opening is from 6-9. If you haven't been to this gallery yet, check it out. It is fun, modern and filled with hip energetic young artists. Did I say young? Yes, young and really on top of things. Wendy Smith, the owner, has it all together with this place. No wonder it is getting more and more attention and great press.

This piece is an ode to my tulips that would have been blooming this week if the deer hadn't dined on them the other night. Oh they were so beautiful last year, all 500 of them. This year they served as deer food. What a shame we won't get to enjoy them in their glory. And, I was told that deer don't eat hyacinths. I can tell you now that is not true. There is now no evidence that I once had the beautiful blue blooms around our "fish sculpture"! Guess I will have to dig out last year's photos. (and put down chicken wire for next year)
